API and x402 Pay-per-Call Terms
These terms supplement the Website Terms for real-mainnet APIs, x402 endpoints and developer features and prevail for those features in case of conflict.
1. Developer public beta
Before a formal operator is confirmed, real-mainnet paid functionality is offered as a low-value, capped and kill-switch-enabled Developer Public Beta for businesses, professionals and developers aged 18 or over. OceanAlt may deny, rate-limit or suspend access for geographic, sanctions, risk, abuse, capacity or security reasons.
2. Price and payment
OceanAlt charges no membership fee. It may charge only a displayed per-call fee for its own API service. Price, network, asset, recipient and request identifier are displayed in the interface or x402 payment requirements before payment.
Current real settlement uses USDC on Base mainnet and the third-party Coinbase CDP facilitator. OceanAlt does not accept deposits, hold user balances or private keys, take a percentage of the underlying transfer, or substitute the user's recipient address.
Blockchain transactions may incur network fees and are irreversible. Verify the network, token contract, amount, recipient and approval scope before signing or paying.
3. Compliance denial and failed delivery
OceanAlt may return 403, block, uncertain or another denial and refuse its own service when compliance, sanctions, risk, mandate, replay, limit or abuse checks fail. This does not block a direct on-chain transfer outside OceanAlt.
Required checks should occur before a payment requirement or settlement where possible. If a request settles but a verified OceanAlt system failure or duplicate charge produces no usable response, send the transaction hash and request identifier within seven days to business@oceanalt.com. Where lawful, safe and technically possible, OceanAlt will return the OceanAlt service fee to the original paying address or provide equivalent service credit. Third-party network fees are normally non-refundable.
4. API responsibilities
Do not share, sell or publish credentials; do not bypass rate, replay, geographic or compliance controls; do not represent OceanAlt output as an official government, regulatory or list-maintainer determination.
You remain responsible for your systems, Agent mandate, wallet security, the final settlement decision and applicable law. For high-risk use, set up human escalation, a second data source and a stop mechanism.
5. Availability
Unless separately agreed in writing, the public beta has no SLA. Interfaces, price, limits and data sources may change with reasonable notice for material adverse effects.
6. Paid-call liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, direct liability for a pay-per-call request is limited to the OceanAlt service fee actually charged for that request, except for fraud, wilful misconduct and liability that cannot legally be limited.
