World Liberty Financial Launches USD1 Natively on Canton Network for Institutional RWA Settlements
The Trump-backed crypto project's stablecoin is now live on Canton, enabling institutional users to settle tokenized real-world asset trades with synchronized, privacy-preserving transactions.

World Liberty Financial announced Tuesday that its stablecoin USD1 has been natively issued on the Canton Network, allowing institutional users to settle tokenized real-world asset (RWA) transactions. According to the announcement, USD1 can serve as the cash leg in scenarios such as derivatives collateral, institutional lending, and asset issuance and redemption, settling synchronously with tokenized assets in the same transaction while leveraging Canton's privacy and permissioning features.
USD1 is issued by BitGo Bank Trust, which manages reserves and handles minting and redemption. According to DeFiLlama data, USD1 has a market cap of approximately $4.05 billion, making it the sixth-largest stablecoin. Launched in March 2025, the stablecoin's reserves include short-term U.S. Treasuries, government money market funds, and U.S. dollar deposits. World Liberty Financial, a crypto project backed by the Trump family, was launched in 2024.
The Canton Network describes itself as a public, permissionless blockchain for institutional finance, processing and issuing over $9 trillion in tokenized assets monthly, with daily on-chain U.S. Treasury volume exceeding $350 billion. This integration follows another Canton expansion last week: Digital Asset and the American Idea Foundation, led by former U.S. House Speaker Paul Ryan, plan to pilot a Canton-based benefits distribution system in three states by 2027.
