MetaComp Unveils AI Agent Governance Framework for Regulated Financial Services
Singapore-based fintech MetaComp has announced what it calls the world's first AI agent governance framework for regulated financial services, aimed at providing auditable authorization and compliance controls when agents initiate payments and trades. According to the company's announcement, the framework covers agent identity verification, mandate validation, per-transaction and daily cumulative limits, and payee whitelists, and supports pre-settlement transaction interception and attribution. MetaComp said the framework is designed for licensed institutions and can integrate with existing KYC/AML processes.
The move comes as AI agents increasingly connect to real money flows. With the rise of machine-to-machine payment scenarios, demand is growing for KYA (Know Your Agent) and pre-settlement compliance checks, but related standards have yet to be unified. MetaComp did not disclose specific clients or a launch date for the framework.
