Deutsche Bank Deploys Agentic AI for KYC Client Wealth Tracing
Deutsche Bank has deployed an agentic AI system to trace the source of client wealth in its KYC processes. According to Fintech News HK, the tool is designed to automate wealth-origin tracing and due diligence steps that have traditionally relied on manual work.
The move comes as banks worldwide face increasingly stringent AML and KYC requirements, with complex cross-border client fund flows driving up the cost of manual verification. Agentic AI can autonomously execute multi-step tasks, giving it the potential to replace parts of manual workflows in client due diligence.
Deutsche Bank did not disclose the scope of clients covered by the system or the specific timing of the deployment.
