The goal is to provide verifiable identity credentials when agents initiate payments, rather than requiring the KYC process to be completed anew for every interaction. According to disclosures from both parties, the solution binds identity verification results to wallet addresses, enabling AI agents to reuse the same verified identity when executing payments across applications and protocols.

Superfluid is previously known for streaming payments (funds streamed and billed by the second). Its protocol allows funds to flow continuously between parties rather than settling transaction by transaction, which is naturally suited to the high-frequency, small-value, continuous payment characteristics of AI agents. Proof, meanwhile, provides identity verification and credential issuance capabilities.

One of the core problems currently facing AI agent payments is this: machines do not have passports or bank accounts, so how can they prove "who is paying."
