Anthropic and NVIDIA announced this week that they are jointly launching an open safety platform for AI agents. Both companies will integrate their respective technology stacks into the platform for real-time monitoring and risk interception of agent behavior. According to announcements from both companies, the platform will open its interfaces to third-party developers, with initial partners spanning payments, cloud services, and model hosting.
The move comes amid the rapid expansion of agentic payments. As AI agents begin directly calling on funds to complete transactions, how to perform pre-settlement verification of an agent's authorization intent, per-transaction limits, and payee whitelists is becoming an engineering problem that payment service providers and model vendors must address together.
The two companies did not disclose a specific launch timeline or commercialization plans for the platform, saying only that core modules will first be released as open-source components.
