First Digital to List on Nasdaq via SPAC, Betting on Payment Infrastructure for the Agentic Economy
The Hong Kong-based stablecoin issuer plans to use proceeds from a SPAC listing to expand its Finance District ecosystem, targeting infrastructure needs as commerce becomes increasingly agent-driven.

Hong Kong-based stablecoin issuer First Digital announced on October 7, 2026, that it will list on Nasdaq through a SPAC, with the proceeds earmarked for expanding its "agentic economy ecosystem" known as Finance District. Founder and CEO Vincent Chok said the ecosystem targets "the infrastructure that both humans and AI agents will need as commercial activity becomes agentic," and that the listing will provide access to public capital markets and the transparency of a publicly traded company.
According to its announcement, Finance District already has four products live: District Pass, a cross-ecosystem unified identity credential; Agent Wallet, a multi-chain wallet that supports AI agents operating through MCP (Model Context Protocol); Prism, which enables merchants and e-commerce platforms to accept digital asset payments; and an AI assistant that helps users manage transactions within the platform.
First Digital also said it is expanding FDUSD's settlement use cases, covering both the Finance District ecosystem and centralized exchanges, decentralized exchanges, and DeFi platforms. The company did not disclose the specific valuation or completion timeline for the SPAC transaction.
