Sumsub Launches KYA Module to Govern AI Agent Access
The identity verification provider's new Know-Your-Agent module aims to confirm an AI agent's identity and permission scope before allowing it to act on behalf of users or systems.

Identity verification provider Sumsub has launched a Know-Your-Agent (KYA) module designed to identify and govern the access rights of AI agents, according to Fintech News SG.
The module is aimed at enterprise clients. Its goal is to confirm an agent's identity and the scope of permissions it has been granted before deciding whether to allow an action initiated by an AI agent on behalf of a person or system. Sumsub previously focused on KYC and anti-money laundering compliance tools; this launch extends its capabilities to the agent side.
As AI agents begin to connect to payment, account and data interfaces, questions of "who is operating, how broad are their permissions, and have they overstepped" have become a new link in the compliance chain. The report did not mention specific pricing or a launch date for the module.
