Binance Expands AI Wallet Controls with New Agent Features
Binance has announced an expansion of AI agent control capabilities for its wallet products, allowing users to automate wallet management through agent functions. According to its announcement, the new features will enable AI agents to execute transactions or asset management operations under preset rules. The exact launch timeline and applicable regions have not been fully disclosed.
The move comes as crypto exchanges race to stake out positions in the "machine-to-machine payments" sector. Coinbase previously launched its x402 protocol, and Stripe has opened stablecoin settlement to AI agents. By embedding agent capabilities into the wallet layer, Binance aims to let users control agent behavior through more granular authorization intents (mandates), such as setting per-transaction limits and recipient whitelists.
For the industry, as agents increasingly touch real funds, pre-settlement compliance judgments—"who is paying, who is being paid, and whether this payment should go through"—are shifting from optional to part of the infrastructure. Binance did not disclose whether the feature introduces KYA (Know Your Agent) or pre-settlement interception mechanisms.
