Amazon AWS Launches AI Recruiting Agent Amazon Connect Talent, Interviewing Candidates 24/7
AWS has announced the general availability of Amazon Connect Talent, an AI agent that can conduct voice interviews 24/7 and generate evaluation briefs, while final hiring decisions remain with recruiters.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced on September 17 the general availability of Amazon Connect Talent, an AI agent product for recruiting scenarios. The product first appeared in April this year as part of the Amazon Connect expansion plan, alongside Amazon Connect Decisions, which handles supply chain logistics and demand forecasting.
According to AWS, Amazon Connect Talent covers the entire recruiting process from job description generation to hiring decisions, with the goal of compressing high-volume hiring cycles from weeks to days. Its AI agent can analyze job requirements, generate interview plans, invite candidates to participate in voice interviews 24/7 according to their own schedules, and submit an organized evaluation brief to recruiters.
Colleen Aubrey, Senior Vice President at AWS, said the AI agent screens candidates through job-related assessments, and recruiters can view AI-generated scores along with complete interview transcripts and notes. The agent shows its reasoning, and the final hiring decision remains with the recruiter. She said this allows recruiters to focus on candidate relationships rather than administrative tasks.
