SpaceXAI's Grok Bot Tops 400K Weekly Users About a Month After Launch
SpaceXAI's AI agent product Grok Bot reached 418,000 weekly active users as of Sept. 14, about a month after its mid-August launch, marking a 24% increase from the prior week. According to Bloomberg on Tuesday (Sept. 22), citing presentation materials shared at a London event and anonymous attendees, the product is showing early signs of demand. SpaceXAI has not disclosed the latest weekly active user figures.
Grok Bot is positioned as an enterprise-grade product capable of handling workplace tasks such as replying to emails, updating sales databases, processing invoices, organizing work and filing software bugs. It is offered through multiple AI subscription tiers and a standalone app. This approach puts it in direct competition with OpenAI and Anthropic in the AI agent market.
Compared with Meta's consumer-facing AI product Muse, Grok Bot still trails in user scale. According to Bloomberg Intelligence estimates, Muse's downloads are roughly four times those of Grok Bot, which currently focuses primarily on enterprise use cases.
The launch comes as SpaceXAI expands its AI business. The company rolled out Grok 4.5 for coding, finance and legal work in July, and earlier this month released Grok 4.7 for more demanding tasks.
