CFTC Sets First Frontier Forum for October 28, Agenda to Focus on AI and Agentic Finance

The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has announced the agenda for its first "Frontier Forum" event. Scheduled for October 28, 2026, and hosted by the agency's Innovation Task Force, the forum will focus on the impact of artificial intelligence on U.S. derivatives markets.
According to the agenda, discussions will cover how derivatives markets are responding to the influx of machine intelligence, as well as the technology's role in price discovery and risk management. In a statement, CFTC Chairman Mike Selig said that "superintelligence" will transform financial markets.
The event also plans to invite executives from companies such as Ornn, Architect, and Liquid Compute to participate, with a dedicated discussion on how trader-owned AI agents operate under the CFTC's regulatory framework.
