ServiceNow Teams Up with Nvidia to Launch AI Agent Governance Service, Unveils AI Passport and Arc

Enterprise software platform ServiceNow announced on October 21, 2026 that it is expanding its partnership with Nvidia to launch a set of governance and security services for AI agent execution. According to its press release, the new capabilities cover every stage of agent execution, with the goal of ensuring that agents act only within authorized boundaries.
The specific products include Arc, a personal long-running agent managed by ServiceNow's Super Intelligence Control Tower and constrained by policies enforced through Nvidia OpenShell. Nvidia's OpenShell and BlueField data processing unit (DPU) execution layer can read the AI Passport previously released by ServiceNow to verify the scope of access and actions permitted to agents including Arc.
Jon Sigler, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the ServiceNow AI Platform, described Arc as the first personal AI agent for everyday work that IT can govern through the two-layer mechanism described above.
A PYMNTS Intelligence survey shows that consumer trust in agents performing tasks varies by scenario: 56% would allow an agent to search and compare prices, about half would allow it to manage loyalty programs, and only 35% would allow an agent to access saved payment credentials. Most respondents said they would be willing to let an agent place orders on their behalf if adequate safeguards are in place.
